Satisfaction: Since its launch, Yuexiang V7 has inherited the selling points of Yuexiang family, "good-looking and easy to drive", thus attracting the public's attention. The streamlined body creates its slender appearance, and the two waistlines on the side further highlight its sportiness and fashion. In terms of control, the 1.6L engine is matched with a 4AT gearbox, providing very good power output. The front McPherson independent suspension and the rear trailing arm suspension are adjusted quite well. When driving on potholes, you can clearly feel the stability and firmness. Even if the new car has not been fully run-in, it still has some good control feel, and it is very easy and smooth to drive. When I test drove it in the 4S store, I used an automatic transmission model. The brakes have just the right rebound strength and the steering is accurate. The power steering wheel is very suitable for novice drivers.
Dissatisfaction: The automatic Yuexiang V7 is equipped with a 4AT gearbox. Unlike the common 6AT, it has two fewer gears but has to run at the same speed. The only way to increase the engine speed is to increase the corresponding fuel consumption. My regular driving section is in the suburbs of 1.5-tier cities. The roads are usually smooth, and there are occasional slight traffic jams during peak hours in the morning and evening. With such a good road condition, my automatic Lexiang model has a fuel consumption of 9 in half a year, or even more! This is really beyond my expectations before buying the car. I believe that everyone who pays attention to Yuexiang V7, a low-priced model, is an ordinary person. Space: Because I have only test-driven the C30 and V7, I feel that the space of the V7 is quite large. There is enough horizontal space on the left and right sides of the front row, and the arms of the co-driver are basically not "fighting". When sitting upright, the head is one fist away from the roof. The back row is usually just right for three people, and if you squeeze in, you can also sit in four people. Sitting upright by the doors on both sides, the head is less than one fist away from the roof. The trunk is slightly small, with a volume of only 410L, which is enough for daily life, but it is impossible to pack more things when going out.
Power: Thanks to the 1.6L engine and the 1240kg vehicle weight, it has sufficient power. When starting or overtaking in daily life, just step on the accelerator and the power is available immediately. If you don't mind the pain, you can experience the feeling of flying by occasionally driving violently. Especially when starting, there is a noticeable push-back feeling. The power decreases after turning on the air conditioner in summer, but it is still enough.
Fuel Consumption: Fuel consumption is definitely the shortcoming of V7. The net weight of V7 is 1240KG, and it is equipped with a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine. It can't be said to be a small horse pulling a big cart, but the performance of 9 liters per 100 kilometers is indeed unsatisfactory. I specially checked the information on the Internet. The automatic transmission Yuexiang V7 ranks 447th in fuel consumption among 471 models of the same level. This is embarrassing, but it proves that high fuel consumption is not a problem of my personal driving habits, but a common phenomenon of V7. Compared with its other parameters, this fuel consumption level seems very inconsistent.
Appearance: The appearance is the best reflection of the value. I believe that many V7 owners choose V7 because of its super high value. Whether viewed from the front, side or rear, it is very attractive. In terms of control, the chassis of Yuexiang V7 is very well adjusted. It will not feel loose when driving on bumpy roads. At the same time, it can filter out the bumpy feeling and clearly feel the feedback of the road. The 1.6L naturally aspirated engine provides sufficient power. When driving on the road, uphill and overtaking never feel laborious, and driving pleasure comes with it.
Dissatisfaction: The most unsatisfactory thing is that the fuel consumption is too high! My average fuel consumption is 9.1L/KM, which is calculated by dividing the total amount of fuel after picking up the car by the total mileage. Compared with the Japanese cars of my friends, it is simply drinking gas! Let me first talk about the road conditions I often drive on. It is mainly for commuting to and from get off work and buying groceries. If the weather is good, I occasionally go out for sightseeing in the surrounding areas. My daily commuting distance is about 20 kilometers, with 5 or 6 traffic lights. The road conditions are not bad, and there is basically no traffic jam. When I go out to play in the surrounding areas, I usually find a place with beautiful mountains and rivers to eat barbecue, fish, etc. The road conditions are also very good. Even in this kind of good road conditions, I actually ran out of a fuel consumption of 9.1L/KM, which really surprised me. I have a relatively gentle driving style. I guess it has nothing to do with my driving habits, but the fuel consumption level of this model is indeed on the high side.
Space: When choosing a car, I only test drove the C30 and the Yuexiang V7. If we compare the two cars, the Yuexiang V7 still stands out for its large space. Four people can sit in the back row, and they are four big men. It is definitely a bit crowded, but it is acceptable. The head space in the middle of the back row is also good. If you don’t stand straight on both sides near the door, your head will not touch the roof. Needless to say, the front row space is basically not compromised. The trunk is relatively small, and the space shape is quite regular. However, the 410L volume still can’t hold many things. When you live at home, you will inevitably have to carry more things, which will be a bit embarrassing.
Power: The power is quite good. Although the 1.6L naturally aspirated engine is not very large, it is sufficient for use. From starting to high speed, the power is continuous and available on call. Daily overtaking is easy and it is very comfortable to drive.
Fuel Consumption: The fuel consumption is beyond my expectation before buying the car. I also checked the fuel consumption of Yuexiang V7 on the Internet before buying the car, but at that time I always thought that the online data was inaccurate and there was a possibility of inflated figures. At the same time, I was prepared for the fuel consumption to be higher. However, after picking up the car, I calculated the actual fuel consumption and it was really cold. Every time I refueled, it felt like cutting meat, especially when compared with my friends' Japanese, German, American, and even domestic cars. There is no harm without comparison.
Appearance: The exterior design is absolutely beautiful and sporty, very suitable for young people to drive. The sheet metal craftsmanship is also good. At least I can't see any uneven gaps.
Interior: The interior is just as sporty as the exterior. The layout of the central control buttons is reasonable and easy to use. It's just that the materials seem a bit cheap, all hard plastic. But I accept it for the price.
