Finally, I wish the evil aunt to suffer forever
2019 4.0T Spider
Satisfaction: The most satisfying thing is definitely the power. The 720S is really powerful, with 720 horsepower, 0-100 in 3 seconds, and 100-200 in 8 seconds. It was almost the strongest among mainstream sports cars at the time, and it is still mainstream even now. Another thing is the butterfly doors. The 720S convertible with butterfly doors really has a hypercar feel. It is undoubtedly more beautiful than ordinary mid-engine supercars, mainly because the butterfly doors have a much higher rate of turning heads than the flat doors of the Huracan and 488.
Dissatisfaction: Mainly in terms of stability, although I also drove a McLaren before, the number of faults of the 720S was a little more than I expected. Although most of them were minor faults of electronic equipment, it was these minor problems that made my daily use very uncomfortable. From time to time, I had to go to the after-sales service. The after-sales attitude was good and the speed of solving the problem was quite fast, but it really affected my mood. Another thing is the workmanship. I thought that the workmanship of the 720S should be better as it is one level higher than the 570, but the actual situation is still the same.
Space: The space is not much different from that of the 570S, and it is considered quite practical among sports cars. When you drive it out, the front trunk is large enough to take out clothes, a pair of shoes, etc.
Power: The power of the 720S is really strong, much stronger than the 570S I had before. After all, the 720S is a product of McLaren's super series, one level higher than the 570S, and the acceleration is indeed worthy of the title of super. All my friends who have experienced it think that the acceleration of the 720S is really fierce.
Fuel Consumption: The fuel consumption is still acceptable. I usually drive at around 20L per 100 kilometers, which is a normal performance at this power level.
Appearance: I really like the styling design of the 720S, especially the side. Since the 720S is longer than those of the 488, the side of the 720S is obviously more stretched than other sports cars. The lines are soft and full of tension, especially compared with my previous 570. It feels like a completely different era. Various aerodynamic details, coupled with the electric rear wing, butterfly doors and targa-style convertible, I think this appearance is almost perfect in my mind.
Interior: The interior is not as beautiful as the exterior. The improvement compared to the 570 is not much. Although the design sense is average, the sporty feel is good, especially the dashboard that flips up in track mode, which gives it a full sense of combat.
