Satisfaction: It is worry-free and has never had any problems. Seeing relatives and friends who bought domestic cars, some of them had broken air conditioners and some had broken window lifters. I really think Yaris is worry-free. Except for maintenance and sheet metal repair after scratches, I have never been to 4S stores or repair shops. In fact, I also like domestic cars. They are cheap, well-equipped, and have large spaces. I can accept some minor problems. When I change cars in a few years, I will consider domestic cars, but the most important condition for inspection is: the failure rate must be low. At present, it has been 4 years and 36,000 kilometers, and there are 2 minor problems: 1. The horn button on the right side of the steering wheel has a little poor contact; 2. The center console has some strange noises when it is cold. It is said that putting a small sponge in the gap can solve the problem, but I am lazy and did not do it.
Dissatisfaction: The appearance of the facelift is a failure. It is not as cute as the little ** before the facelift. Moreover, after the facelift, the front and rear bumpers are lengthened, which makes parking inconvenient without increasing functionality. This is the biggest failure.
Space: The seat space is very good among small cars of the same level. I am 180cm tall and weigh 100kg. I don't feel oppressed in the driving seat at all. Without adjusting the driver's seat, I can sit in the back row and there is enough space, with about a fist of space for my knees. There are many storage compartments, more than 20 in total, so no matter how many small items there are, there is always a place to put them. The rear seats can be folded down in a 4/6 position. The rear seats are relatively flat when folded down, and I have used to pull many large items when moving.
Power: The power is sufficient. My uncle and aunt, who have decades of driving experience, praised the car after driving it. When fully loaded, turning on the air conditioner does not affect the power. Before buying the car, I took a colleague's Kia Cerato to travel in the mountains. There were 4 people in the car, and the air conditioner was turned on. It was very powerless when overtaking, and it was difficult to accelerate even if the accelerator was stepped on to the bottom. That experience made me realize that before buying a car, you can't just look at the engine data. The data of the Cerato is also good, but the actual situation is not optimistic, so it is best to test drive it.
Fuel Consumption: basically drive it to and from get off work in the city, where there is a lot of traffic. It takes an average of 25 minutes to travel 7 kilometers, with an average speed of less than 17 kilometers per hour. In spring and autumn, it takes about 8.8 kilometers per hour, and in winter and summer, it is close to 10 kilometers per hour. Some people think that Japanese cars are light, but I have checked that the Yaris is not light at all compared with small European and American cars such as Polo, C2, Carnival, 207, and Fabia. In addition, the Yaris is a backward 4AT, which makes it not fuel-efficient. As an aside, the 1.6AT Polo is 15 kilograms heavier than the Yaris, but the Polo has a cast iron engine, which should be much heavier than the all-aluminum engine of the Yaris, so the frame may not be heavier than the Yaris. Besides, I personally think it is unscientific to judge whether a car is safe based on its weight.
Appearance: I personally think it's a bit ugly. But I don't care about appearance, I care more about reliability, so I can accept the appearance of Yaris. I think the Yaris before the facelift was pretty good-looking and cute, but it was turned into a platypus by plastic surgery. The appearance design level of GAC Toyota is really not commendable.
Interior: It's not pretty, but it's not ugly either. Some people can't accept the center instrument panel, but I think it has enough advantages for me to like it: 1. The space behind the steering wheel can be used, and the Yaris has an extra glove box in this place; 2. It's very convenient to read the speed without lowering your head, and other passengers can also see the speed. Toyota's assembly process is good. After 4 years, the interior is still very compact, and there is no uneven gap, just like when it was a new car.
